“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” said in a statement to People. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks, and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”
“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness, and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off.” – said Selena.
Three months later, Selena is back, looking absolutely gorgeous at the American Music Awards on Sunday. She is up for the Artist of the Year award.
Gomez stepped out in a Louis Vuitton gown with a leather bralette and lace-up shoes on Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Met Gala in New York City. This year’s theme celebrates the museum’s Costume Institute exhibition “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology,” which explores the intersection of haute couture and machine-made fashion. At last year’s gala, Gomez also donned black-and-white, choosing an ivory Vera Wang gown with an ornate white headpiece.
