Here is the a lovely addition to our shelves, a solid shelf with a functional hanging rail beneath. (Please note.. the engraving THE LAUNDRY ROOM.. on the picture for this listing, is just an example, it can be engraved with anything you’d like, this shelf does not come engraved with the laundry room as standard, if the engraving box is left empty – it won’t be engraved) The rail itself is made here in our workshop, as opposed to using a broom handle haha. The knot on the top is countersunk so you will be able to make full use of the surface area on top of the shelf. Each shelf can be engraved along the front facing edge with a house name, family name, favourite quote, nursery rhyme or whatever you’d like. Just let us know in the box below. We engrave our shelves deep into the surface providing depth to the shelf, please note the lettering is not lasered/burnt onto the woods surface. We like to use to CAPITALS on our shelves as we feel this makes it clear to read from a distance. However this isn’t everyone’s preference. Please enter your engraving in the exact way you would like it to appear (Case sensitive). Once an order is submitted, this cannot be changed. There is an option to have the shelves with Rustic edges or square edges. Our shelves are 40mm thick and 220mm deep. Each shelf has knots, cracks and natural markings adding to its rustic characteristics. Our shelves are finished with a natural oak coloured beeswax. These shelves are made using solid wood, to achieve that rustic look, however they are not made from Oak. Two concealed, hardened steel fixing rods are included with your shelf. (Please note – these fixings are only suitable for solid walls.) 10mm Solid wall plugs are supplied too. (Please note – we do not supply wall plugs for plaster board). Instructions are included for your guidance. If you require our shelves in a longer length than 110cm, please note we cannot engrave anything longer than 110cm but we can make them without engraving. Unfortunately postage is around £25.00 for any orders over 110cm. Please do get in touch if you would like to place an order for larger shelves or you are welcome to collect from our workshop near Gatwick. If you require our shelves in an exact length to fit in a desired space. Please round UP to the nearest 10 and leave your length measurement in the notes box at checkout. If you would prefer your shelf narrower to fit a specific place for example, we can do this to a minimum of 100mm. Again, please let us know in the notes box at checkout. Each shelf can hold a weight of up to 25kg – PROVIDED A SUITABLE FIXING TO A MASONRY WALL. Please note our shelves contain lots of natural markings and natural cracks in the wood. We find this a natural part of working with wood and adds to the look. The colour, tone and grain of the wood may also vary from the pictures as no two are the same.
